As part of its commitment to helping schools EspeciallyPolite – the sister not-for-profit organization of The PoliteChild – had begun its first fund-raiser designed to raise money to help schools implement initial PoliteChild programs. This first effort involves an on-line auction and donation site which can be found at: http://especiallypolite.maestroweb.com/ So many schools want and need PoliteChild programs, yet require assistance with initial funding for early implementation. While they see the benefits other schools have experienced from our programs, many schools and districts have challenges funding new endeavors, regardless of how worthwhile they may be. EspeciallyPolite will offer grants to assist schools in the implementation process. The first round of grants is expected to be distributed in January, 2007. Schools seeking grants are asked to submit a letter proposal to EspeciallyPolite addressing the following requirements: - Minimum
two-year commitment to PoliteChild, adopting 2 or more
PoliteChild courses (SocialSmarts, Exploring the Virtues I or II) Additionally, schools awarded EspeciallyPolite grants will agree to allow and work with PoliteChild and/or EspeciallyPolite to feature the organization and implementation of PoliteChild programs in its marketing communications, such as case studies, promotional materials, etc., for the purpose of raising awareness of the programs and its results. Schools that help support EspeciallyPolite’s fundraising efforts by promoting our auction and donation site to their supporters (parents, corporate sponsors, friends of the school, matching employer contributions) will be considered for multi-year grants. A special “Referred by” field is available on the EspeciallyPolite auction site (http://especiallypolite.maestroweb.com/) to help us track schools’ referrals. Letter proposals for grants can be submitted either by… US Mail: P.O. Box 3945 FAX: 425.881.8310 Please address your correspondence or proposal to “School Grants Administrator.” Deadline to be considered for the first-round of grants is December 15, 2006. |
