School is located approximately one and one-half miles from
downtown Indio. The school was constructed in 1951. Hoover began
modernization during the 1999-2000 school year. In 2000-2001,
the administration building and the staff room was built. The
permanent classrooms were remodeled in 2001-2002. In 1992, Hoover
School was reconfigured from a 3rd-5th grade school to a K-5th
grade school. In the fall of 1996, class size in First Grade
was reduced to a ratio of 20 students per teacher. The same
ratio was implimented in Second Grade for the 1997-98 school
year and in Third Grade for the 1999-2000 school year.

offered at Kokanee, Lockwood, Wellington and Woodmoor Elementaries
for families who desire integration of school, home and parent's
in their children's education. PACE has the same high curriculum
goals as other Northshore K-6 programs, and is a choice program;
It is not an accelerated or special needs program.
PACE has multi-age classrooms and
